NuJazz Europe grew out of the demise of a label started four years ago called Sub-Urban Collective. Which was our first attempt to create an interaction between musicians, composers and installation and sound artists. NuJazz Europe's first album was an'Improv' interaction of musician's from 2 cities. (Tokyo and Glasgow). Thanks to the belief of Raymond MacDonald, the CD CITIES was released to great critical acclaim in 2009 (Allaboujazz NY, The List, The Herald) The music featuring Satoko Fujii, Natsuki Tamura, Raymond MacDonald, Neil Davidson and Tom Bancroft. NuJazz Europe's philosophy is simple, none of our artists are required to sign contracts, (we work on trust). All our artists retain full copyright on their own material. Our artists have the freedom to work with other music labels as they desire, we impose no restrictions, we work together to get the music out there. NuJazz Europe believes in new ideas. If you have a musical project that inspire's you, talk to us and see if we can contribute to making it a reality. |
